Reed Goertler, Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Reed brings warmth, curiosity, humor and a straightforward approach to his work. He values his therapeutic relationship with each client and engages with compassion and acceptance. He believes in respecting each individual’s unique healing process - fostering growth through new coping skills, exploration of past injuries, and reframing of unhealthy beliefs. His multidisciplinary approach is evidence-based and emphasizes neuroscience and Buddhist psychology. Reed has extensive experience serving those with chronic illness, substance use disorder and trauma.

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, a Masters in Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. He trained in Mindfulness Clinical Practices and Brain Spotting.

Reed has held corporate executive positions in the fields of neurology, infectious disease and cancer at the University of California, San Francisco, Stanford University and the private sector.
