Cooper Cearns, Administrative Assistant
Cooper Cearns is currently in training as a psychotherapist at Piedmont Unified School District's Wellness Center and is in his second year of the Counseling Psychology Master's Program at the Wright Institute. Originally from Seattle, Cooper received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington in 2017. Between stints in the commercial fishing, coffee and construction industries, Cooper found himself cooking in the kitchens of regional Dharma centers and riding his motorcycle across the United States and Mexico. Curiosities around the nature of consciousness and compassion inspired Cooper to volunteer as a phone worker at Crisis Connections -- King County's crisis and suicide phone line. Cooper is particularly interested in working with young people around questions of meaning, authenticity and existentialism. In his free time, you can find Cooper making french toast, trying not to cling to his experiences, and writing short stories about all the experiences he still clings to.
