Mindfulness and Addiction

Mindfulness promotes present-centered awareness and calm. In turn, it can help you overcome certain addictive behaviors and unwanted unconscious choices.

By understanding the hungers that sometimes lead to addictive behaviors, you can free yourself of these unwanted habits and the suffering that ensues. The first step is learning what to pay attention to.  In time, you will learn to embrace your reality, including the pain, joy, suffering and personal growth and transformational opportunities that often come with it.
